Diana’s Day

The date of Diane’s birthday is November 30th. It’s a holiday not to be missed because Diane is the mother essence of magic.

It is the Mother Goddess, known by many names as Astarte, Aphrodite, Artemis, Isis, Freya and many others. They merge in it all the opposites. It is the good and the bad. Birth and death. Creation and destruction. Love and hate. And no offense to some witch sisters, She is masculine and feminine. and therefore his worship for me should not be reserved only for women.

It is to her that we owe the teaching of the magical arts as I specify in the article on Aradia his daughter.https://wizardtoday.com/2018/11/19/aradia-la-premiere-des-sorcieres/

In 1945 a Gnostic text was found dated I and II centuries ago in Egypt in the city of NagHammadi https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nag_Hammadi_libraryWho speaks about her and  I often use as a prayer (I replaced you by I am for a question of meaning) here is an excerpt:

You are the first is the last

You are the one who receives the honors.

You are the one who is despised.

You are the prostitute and the saint

ou are the wife and the virgin

you are the mother and the daughter.

You are my mother’s members.

You are the one who is sterile

And whose children are numerous.

You are the one whose wedding is grandiose

And you are not married.

You are the midwife

And you’re not bothering.

You are the appeasement of my pain

You are the wife and the husband

And it’s your husband who is born.

You are your father’s mother

And your husband’s sister.

And he is your descendant.

I’m listening to you

you are the one who is great.

It has been and still is today the muse of literature (Shakespeare in Henry IV for example), in painting, sculpture and music.

Rembrandt, Harmenszoon van Rijn – Diana mit Aktäon und Kallisto – c.1634-1635

Many traditions exist when ceremonies that consecrate the feast of Diana (in the covens in particular). For my part, here is how I proceed:

The preparation of the ritual for the feast of Diana:

Early morning before sunrise or evening after sunset
Prepare a ritual bath with 13 leaves of laurel or 13 jasmine flowers (if you do not have a bath infuse the leaves or flowers in 1 liter of water and rinse with.)

“O Diane, Salvator Goddess listen to my voice

Holy and Absolute Queen hear my joy!

I give you thanks for your love and kindness

for your brightness!

for your compassion and redemption “

Buy or make yourself a nectar (a pure juice) of fruit you can add wine or gin. Consume when you want (in the bath at night with candles, relaxation guaranteed for example) but keep in for the ritual of the party.

you can also make moons cakes:

1 egg, 120 gram sugar, 250 gram flour, 125g butter, vanilla sugar 1 sachet.

Break the egg into a salad bowl, add a pinch of salt, sugar and vanilla sugar. Mix with a wooden spoon until the appliance whitens.
Add the flour, then mix with your fingers to obtain sand.
Add the butter and knead to obtain a homogeneous paste.
Knock the dough by throwing it from one hand to another until you get a regular ball. If the dough seems too fat and soft, add a little flour.
Let the dough rest in the refrigerator for a quarter of an hour.
Preheat the oven to 180 ° C (thermostat 6).
Spread flour on the table and on the rolling pin, then spread the dough about 5 millimeters thick.
Cut with a knife, a cookie cutter or with a glass the shapes you want.
Place these forms on a buttered sheet or covered with parchment paper.
Put in oven for 20 min.

You can make floral wreaths with very fragrant scents of bouquets floral arrangements, indulge yourself and be daring.

the evening of  Diana’s day:

invite friends, talk about the goddess, your life, made reign good mood and joy. Listen to the music you love! if you have in your garden or near you a grove of trees, go there to light small lanterns, or candels (be careful not to fire) make a magic circlehttps://wizardtoday.com/2018/11/08/le-cerle-magique-circle-magic/

Then read the charge of the mother goddess:

Listen to the words of the Great Goddess, whom our mothers have called Artemis, Astarte, Isis, Danu, Gaia, Melusine, Aphrodite, Cerridwen, Diana, Arianrhod, Brigid, and a thousand other names:

“Whenever you have need or seek to offer thanks, once in the month, and better when the moon is full, seek out some secret place and adore the spirit of Me who is Queen of all the Wise. In this place shall I share with you the Secret Wisdom of the Ages.

You shall be free from self-bondage, and as a sign that you be free you shall be naked in your rites, in your mind.

Sing, feast, dance, make merry, make music and love, all in My presence, for Mine is the ecstacy of the spirit and Mine also is joy on Earth.

For My law is love unto all beings. By naught but love may I be known.

Keep pure your Highest Ideals; strive ever toward them, let naught stop you nor turn you aside, or you turn aside from Me.

Mine is the secret door that opens upon the door of youth, and Mine is the cup of the Wine Of Life that is the Cauldron of Cerridwen — the holy grail of immortality.

I am the Gracious Goddess, who gives the gift of joy unto the hearts of all. I give the knowledge of the spirit eternal and beyond death I give peace and freedom and reunion with those who have gone before.

The only sacrifices I require are those of greed, fear, ignorance, and hatred, for behold, all things living are Mine own. I am the Mother of all things and My love is poured upon the Earth.

“I who am the beauty of the green Earth,

The white Moon among the Stars,

And the Mystery of the Waters,

I call upon your soul to arise and come unto Me.

For I am the Soul of Nature, which gives life to the universe.

From Me all things proceed,

And unto Me they must return.

Let My worship be in the heart that rejoices,

For behold – all acts of love and pleasure are My rituals.

Let there be beauty and strength,

Power and compassion,

Honour and humility,

Mirth and reverence within you.

And you who seek to know Me,

Know that your seeking and yearning will avail you not,

Unless you know the Mystery:

For if that which you seek you find not within yourself,

You will never find it without.

For behold, I have been with you from the beginning,

And I am that which is attained at the end of desire.”

Eat and drink in his homage, make offerings and libations. Take some time to meditate on yourself and your place in the order of things.

Et voila!i wish you a good party  .
